HHF Program Grant Application for New Organizations

This section describes the schedule and requirements for organizations not previously receiving program grants from the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation. 2024 program grants to new organizations will be between $7,500 and $20,000.

Nonprofit Requirements for HHF Program Grants:

The nonprofit organization must meet the following requirements:

  1. A focus on one of the following core areas:

    • Quality education

    • Meaningful work and economic growth

    • Fostering a sustainable community

    • Good health and well-being in the areas of:

      • Care and Support of Children

      • Increased Access to Mental Health Care

  2. Located in the City of Chicago serving under-resourced communities, especially on the south and west sides of the city

  3. Certified public charity in good standing with the IRS

  4. Looking to grow the organization’s impact in Chicago

HHF New Organization Program Grant Schedule for 2024:

The HHF grant application and award process will consist of four distinct phases:

Phase 1: May 1, 2024- May 15, 2024 - (Closed due to overwhelming response, please follow us for future program grant opportunities.)

Phase 2: May 23, 2024- July 15, 2024

  • HHF will contact applicants for a video conference to determine the alignment between their organization and the HHF mission and goals.

  • The HHF Grant Committee will meet to determine which applicants will be invited to submit 2024 Phase 2 program grant applications.

Phase 3: July 16, 2024 - September 17, 2024

  • Invited nonprofit organizations complete the 2024 Phase 2 program grant application by August 14, 2024, at 6:00 PM CT.

  • HHF will contact organizations to schedule a site visit between July 8, 2024, and August 22, 2024.

  • The HHF Board will determine the Phase 2 applicants that meet the HHF mission and goals.

Phase 4: September 18, 2024

  • Grant awards are announced.

  • Checks are mailed to grantees upon completion of their grant agreement.
