Tom Hulsebosch

Co-President

Tom, along with his wife Nancy, is co-president of the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation.  His passion lies in creating economic opportunity - especially in his local Chicago communities - through education, focusing on transforming how we use, create, and deliver energy.

Before the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation, Tom’s career spanned 35 years across many industries and leadership positions, including management and technology consulting, utilities, and telecommunications.  From 2008 to 2022, Tom helped grow West Monroe, a management and technology consulting firm, by 10x while serving in key roles including the head of the Energy and Utility Practice, an office-lead in both the Dallas and Chicago offices, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors. Prior to joining West Monroe, he founded a consulting firm, Strategy 2 Solution.

Before consulting, Tom worked at Motorola for 19 years in a variety of engineering, product management, and sales leadership roles.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Outside of work, Tom serves as a board member for Boxing Out Negativity, a nonprofit that empowers Chicago’s youth through boxing, mentorship, and community engagement. He is also active in the Springboard Foundation, helping after-school programs create a bigger impact in the Chicago community. He is an active parishioner at St. Thomas of Villanova in Palatine, IL.

In his free time, Tom enjoys bike riding and traveling with his wife, Nancy, and fishing with his family and friends.

Kevin Hulsebosch

Treasurer

Kevin is the treasurer of the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation and the eldest child of Nancy and Tom Hulsebosch. He’s married to Aubrey Hulsebosch, who also sits on the board of the foundation.

Kevin is analytical in nature - he enjoys tackling challenging problems by identifying root causes and developing foundational, sustainable solutions. As a result, he’s inspired to support the causes of economic empowerment, energy sustainability, and education. Grateful for the opportunity provided by the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation, Kevin uses his professional skills to support organizations in delivering solutions to critical issues.

Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has spent the last twelve years at West Monroe, a management and technology consulting firm, specializing in managing digital transformation initiatives in the financial services industry. Kevin has been awarded West Monroe’s highest internal recognition for mentorship and in 2018 was named a Rising Star of the industry by Consulting Magazine.

In his free time, Kevin likes to travel and spend time with his family and friends. He also loves sports and is a proud owner of the Green Bay Packers!

Aubrey Hulsebosch

Board Member

Cura Personalis, a Latin term that translates to “care for the entire person”, was one of the first phrases Aubrey learned at Marquette University. During her time here, she came to understand and appreciate the term’s deeper meaning: to care for and to help someone grow, you first have to recognize and respect their unique circumstances, talents, and experiences.

As a Hulsebosch Hope Foundation board member, Aubrey exemplifies and spreads the ideals of Cura Personalis by supporting those seeking to empower others within their communities.

Aubrey holds a Master of Education and an Education Specialist degree from Loyola University. In her current role as an elementary school psychologist, she works with students, staff, and families in the areas of academic and behavioral interventions, system level supports, and individual educational assessments. She loves the variety that each day brings - she learns something new every day!

In her free time, Aubrey loves hanging out with her husband and son, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, reading a good book, and planning her next family adventure!

Albertina DiMartino

Board Member

Albertina, a board member of the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation, is married to Patrick Hulsebosch and is the daughter-in-law of Tom and Nancy Hulsebosch.

Albertina grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and now lives and works in the city. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marquette University and began her career working as a registered nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. After her stint as a new graduate nurse on the Pulmonary Step-Down Unit, she transitioned into the Clinical Coordinator role. Early in the pandemic, she stepped into management on her unit and has since acted as a Patient Care Manager in many areas throughout the medicine department. During her time at NMH, Albertina earned both her MSN in Executive Leadership and her MBA in Healthcare Administration.

In her free time, Albertina enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family. She loves to travel, explore new cities, and try new restaurants. When the weather allows, she enjoys walking along the lake with her husband and their dog, Vernon.

Bridget Hulsebosch

Board Member

Bridget is a board member of the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation and the youngest child of Nancy and Tom Hulsebosch.

Inspired by her father’s passion for clean energy, Bridget earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at Loyola University Chicago. Here, she pursued an interest in holistic sustainability and began studying climate change's effects on public health.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree in 2019, Bridget completed a Master of Science in Infectious Disease and Immunology at Loyola, specializing in antiviral development. She remains a student at Loyola, where she is a Ph.D. candidate in Microbiology and Immunology, continuing her research in virology. Currently, Bridget is studying viruses related to Poliovirus in the hopes of developing new antiviral treatments. In addition to research, Bridget trains new students in her lab and serves as a representative for the students of the Health Sciences Division for the Graduate Student Advisory Council. Outside of school, she hopes to continue her research in disease prevention and advocacy for sustainability and clean water. Bridget’s dream is for everyone to have equal opportunity and access to a clean and healthy environment, especially clean water and health care.

In her free time, Bridget enjoys reading, yoga, and swimming. She also loves to spend time with her family at their lake house and to hike, camp, and snowshoe with her boyfriend, Mason.

Clare Hulsebosch

Board Member

Clare Hulsebosch is a board member at Hulsebosch Hope Foundation, and shares the title of middle child of Nancy and Tom Hulsebosch with her twin brother, Patrick.

Inspired by her love of books (and of always being in charge), Clare pursued her passion for teaching and received her Bachelor of Science in Writing-Intensive English and Middle/Secondary Education from Marquette University.  Upon graduation, Clare stayed in Milwaukee and taught high school English, which sparked a love for equity in education, urban environmentalism, and social justice.  After two years, Clare took a pause from the classroom and went back to school full time, receiving her master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Soon after, she moved back to Chicago and returned to teaching at the elementary school level, where she has found her sweet spot in education! She loves working with students every day, making sure that every student feels seen, respected, and represented in their classroom.

When Clare is not working, she loves to read, take care of her many plants, explore Chicago, be active outside, and play with her dog, Olive, and cat, Dewey.

Patrick Hulsebosch

Board Member

Patrick is a board member of the Hulsebosch Hope Foundation and is a middle child of Nancy and Tom Hulsebosch with his twin sister, Clare. He is also the husband of board member Albertina DiMartino.

Patrick loves all things water - especially fishing - and enjoys competing in bass fishing tournaments during the summer. He followed his passion for water resources engineering all the way to school, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and biological engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He currently works for RJN Group, a civil engineering consulting firm in the western suburbs of Chicago. In his role as project manager, he oversees projects that rehabilitate communities’ aging sewer and stormwater infrastructure, helping to prevent sanitary sewer overflows into local waterways. Patrick brings his expertise and his passion for sustainability and stewardship to each Hulsebosch Hope Foundation meeting.

Beyond fishing, Patrick enjoys reading, skiing, playing Settlers of Catan, playing soccer, traveling, trying new restaurants with Albertina, and following his favorite sports teams.
